We're Zahra and Asli. We met each other in the first year of primary school and have been best friends since. A friendship that's gone on so long that we're not just friends, we're sisters. And that's where Søstre's name comes from - it means 'sister' in Danish.

At the end of 2025, we both ended up in the same situation. Not working and unsure what to do with our lives, we would meet up over coffee and talk about our childhood, our dreams and the possibilities in life. One dream we both shared was to run a cafe. Since neither of us had the money to pursue that, we figured we'd go to the basics and bare-bones of what we love about the cafe dream - making coffee and sharing our love for the unique styles of coffee in the world.

So here we are. The cafe starts with a coffee cart, a name and a home barista. We're getting started in Acton Market and would love to see you there!
